Australia Part Three! :D
Competition day and the after-party.
We woke up at 4am Aussie time which is 2am Malaysian time to do our make up.
It was absolutely FREEZING and we were all in our cheer skirts. The first 2 hours or so was horrible! No matter what I did, my hands just REFUSED to stop being cold! It wasn’t until we started warming up for our routine (which took alot longer than usual) that I finally began to feel normal again. Lol.
But I distinctly remember us warming our hands under the dryer in the toilets at the sports centre when we first arrived! Lol.
Mel did make up for all of us with her left hand!
RESPECT!
Make up check!
Ivy and Wai Min.
Jun Kang fell asleep even before the competition started. Lol!
Everyone, meet my captain, Yee Ming! :D
Touching up Shana’s make up for her.
Kim Swee, Kim Ing and Siew Wai.
From L-R: Badrie, me, Hayden, Kim Swee, Kim Ing and Siew Wai.
+ Ivy who’s in between Hayden and I.
As you can see, a few of them are wearing more than one jacket coz yes, it was THAT cold in the morning!
Team pictures! :D
Mel is not in the second picture because it wouldn’t look good to send a team picture with an injured person in it to the sponsors. :(
Team talk before competition.
It looks like we’re praying, but really, Yee Ming is just talking to us. Lol.
Team manager! :D
Li Yen and Shana whom I think look very alike in this picture!
With Wai Min, our co-captain.
+ Mel.
A huge thank you to our sponsors! Air Asia X and Skin Food!
Layla cutting her nails before the spot check.
Kim and Kim! :D
We stayed at Kim and Matt’s house when we were there, as I mentioned before.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of/with Matt. :(
But the both of them are coming to Malaysia so you’ll get to see more pictures really soon! :D
Kim is a cheerleader with the Hornets from Acrobatic Fanatics.
Shiny Stars from Acrobatic Fanatics!
Cutest little kids EVER!
After seeing them, I can’t wait to have kids so I can shove them into cheerleading uniforms! :p
The little kids competing for Best Standing Trick.
Kim Ing, Kim Swee and Wai Min during the partner stunt competition.
THEY WON! :D
They actually did much cooler stuff than this but I didn’t manage to take any other pictures coz I was too busy watching/screaming for them. :p
Wen, Mel and Schan.
Wai Min and Ivy competing for Best Standing Trick.
Unfortunately, neither of them won. :(
Although I really thought that Wai Min should have won!
If I’m not mistaken, the girl second from left won.
With Darcy from Hornets, Acrobatic Fanatics.
Schan! :D :D
Thank you so so so much for coming to support us! Really appreciate it!
And it’s awesome that we’ve become closer coz of it too!
Can’t wait for you to get back! <3
Wen. :)
Seriously, hands down, best team manager ever! <3
How typical. :p
<3
I am so lucky. :)
OMG! YOU SEE HOW CUTE THEY ARE?!?!?
If I’m not mistaken, it’s Brandon, Noah/Kai, me, Jackson, Wen (on top), Noah/Kai and Mel.
I can’t remember which one is Kai and which one is Noah! :p
BUT HOW CUTE ARE THEY RIGHT?!??!?
ARGH! I WANTED TO TAKE ONE OF THEM HOME! DOESN’T MATTER WHICH ONE!
TOO CUTE!
Kai and Noah.
SO SO SO SO CUTE!
MALAYSIA #1! :D :D :D
When they announced “Team Malaysia” as champions, the rush/feeling was amazing! I can’t even begin to describe it!
With daddy and mummy. :)
I’m so glad they managed to make it to the competition. <3
Meant so much to me.
After-party! :D
Yes, unlike Malaysia, Australia has a party after the competition for all the cheerleaders to get to know each other and to just let their hair down and dance, eat, socialize, whatever!
I don’t have many pictures of the party coz my camera battery had died so these were actually grabbed off FB. :p
KH, me, Jun Kang, Badrie, Pei Kee, Tahlia, Micky, Jenny and Layla.
With Jason from the Chargers Cheerleaders!
CHARM cheerleaders + Jason.
I couldn’t be bothered to remove my make up, as you can see. :p
The after-party was TONS of fun! They had actually set up a makeshift dance floor and had a DJ playing music.
SO SO MUCH FUN! Spent the whole night dancing!
I was so sad to leave. :(
Competing in Australia was a really good experience and I’m so glad I was given the chance to compete.
It was tons of hard work, but it was really worth it!
I miss the whole team like CRAZY!
This post took me AGES to write because I just didn’t know how to put this day into words. This post does ZERO justice to what an amazing day that was.
From waking up at 4am in the morning to having a late dinner with mummy and daddy back in the city. It was a day I will never forget
