Once You've Had A Taste Of Perfection

Hello all! I'm sorry I haven't been updating. I've been so so so busy I barely even have time to sleep! Every night, I go to sleep at 2, 3am and I'm up by 7.30am. It's been a craaaazy 2 weeks! I don't know how my body has been taking it. Lol.

So much has been happening! Classes and assignments which take up alot more time than you'd expect. Cheer which takes up even MORE time than you'd expect. Then of course there have been Prom rehearsals which are 4 times a week. I don't even need to go into details about how much time THAT takes up! And then now, some of the ex-Stunners have been asked to perform for the opening of sports day so that's another thing on my (very full) plate! And everyone seems to have been born in February/March! So many birthdays to celebrate/parties to attend! There are days when I'm out of the house by 8am and not home until 12am. Crazy, crazy!

Tonight is the first night I've been home in a long time! So nice to have the time to take a loooong shower, finish my assignments at a leisurely pace, watch a DVD (Revolutionary Road), download music, blog and maybe even get to sleep before 2am! Lol.

Geez! Even when I'm relaxing I'm busy! Lol!

Although, my schedule is (hopefully) about to get alot less hectic coz sports day is over next week and I may pull out of Prom because of personal reasons that I'm lazy to go into here. It's nothing private or anything though so if you wanna know, please ask me personally and I'll be glad to explain. :)

But knowing me, my schedule isn't gonna stay free for very long! :p I already have some things planned!

So anyways! Don't expect regular updates for the next week or so. Not until sports day is over at least! I promise to try my best though coz I really have SO MUCH stuff to update about!

Okay, I have something REALLY important that I'm dying to blog about but I've just come back from Prom rehearsals after a very looooooong day and I'm exhausted, I have a headache, I have incomplete Spanish assignments to finish AND I haven't showered.

So blogging will have to wait till. Tomorrow.

I Never Told You All I Wanted To Say

This may come as a surprise to many, but I am one of those people who really doesn't believe in Valentines day.

I think that Valentines day is a commercialised holiday created by greeting card and florist companies so that they can charge consumers triple the price of what a product is really worth.

I think that Valentines day is solely for girls to show off to other girls how "sweet, amazing and thoughtful" their boyfriends are (at the expense of their boyfriends wallets of course).

I think that Valentines day is a ridiculous waste of money and time and it really just puts unnecessary pressure and stress on a guy to surprise his girlfriend, buy her an expensive gift, buy her more roses than her bestfriend etc etc.

Each year, girls with boyfriends expect their boyfriends to buy them flowers (number of roses have to have a special significance so that girl can tell her friends how romantic boyfriend is, important that said number shouldn't be less than 30 coz otherwise, bouquet is too small), chocolates (has to come in lovely gift wrapped box. Must be expensive chocolates), perfume (perfumes are expensive anyway), special dinner (of course, expensive restaurants only. Think restaurants where the waiters laugh at you when you can't pronounce 50% of the menu).

And well, do I even have to go into the financial strains on a guy during Valentines day? I know of guys who save for Valentines day MONTHS in advance and I know of another guy who spent RM1k on his girlfriend during Valentines day. (they have subsequently broken up)

What I don't understand is why it's considered "sweet" when your boyfriend gives you something for Valentines day. It's not "sweet" anymore when you're expecting it! It's so much sweeter when it's a random day and he decided to surprise you with flowers because he loves you. Now THAT, is worth telling your girlfriends about! And it's alot cheaper to buy flowers on a normal day too!

However, Valentines day isn't ALL bad.

I have to admit, it's a GREAT excuse for people to ask their crushes out on a date! :)

What I don't like about it is how commercialised, shallow and materialistic Valentines day is.

So anyway! After reading about me ranting on and on about how I am against Valentines day I'm sure you would have figured out by now that I would refuse to celebrate it. I turned down a couple of dates and made it point blank clear that I DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING for Valentines day!

But of course, there will always be that ONE person who never listens to what you want.









I assure you that I was SO surprised to find these waiting for me at home because I was SO SURE that I made it crystal clear to EVERYONE that I didn't want anything because it was a waste of money!

To the person who got me this, thank you very much. It was very, very unexpected and you really surprised me. BUT I MEAN IT WHEN I SAY I DON'T WANT ANYTHING OKAY! PLEASE LISTEN TO ME NEXT TIME! You really didn't need to go through all the trouble!

The flowers ARE really pretty though. :) Pink! My favourite! And I really do appreciate all the though and trouble that went into this. Surprises really are the best. :)

For those of you who are wondering what I'll be doing on Valentines day (yes, I'm doing something!), check back soon! ;)

And before any of you leave a comment about how I'm being hypocritical about not liking Valentines because of the flowers and chocolates, I actually have never been a huge fan of Valentines day. Even when I had boyfriends, we never did anything special on those days because I thought it was a waste of money. :) Of course I have received gifts, but all those times, those gifts really were surprises because I'm pretty sure that I've always made it clear to any guy that I'm with/dating that Valentines day is an unnecessary waste of money. :)

I Love The Way You're Always You

Okay, because EVERYBODY is bugging me for the pictures, here are the pictures from the Pizza Hut TVC (television commercial) shoot I did about 3 weeks ago.

Our call time was at 5 freaking 30 in the morning. Omg man, I've NEVER been awake that early for ANYTHING except cheer!

Oh but the day before, our wardrobe fitting took like, 3 hours. Omg, all of us were SO annoyed! We were there at like 4.30pm and we only left at like, 7pm? And they told us that the wardrobe fitting would only be "30 minutes". PFFT!

Kay, anyway! When I woke up at 5am, it was so dark, it looked like it was still night. Really. There wasn't even a HINT of sunlight! And the roads were SO empty! It normally takes me 20 minutes to get from my place to Kota Damansara. That morning, we made it in 10 minutes.



Absolutely EMPTY roads. If only it were like this all the time!

The pictures isn't so clear coz my dad was driving SO fast that my camera just couldn't focus! Lol.

Got to the studio then we all left together to go to the location, the field opposite the Old Town Kopitiam in Padang Kota.

Being awake at 5.30am obviously doesn't affect Ginny's camwhore skills. :p That, is a TRUE camwhore okay!

We finished shooting at about 10am. Went back to the studio coz Shaun needed to pee. -_- Then some of us went to Old Town Kopitiam to eat and then we all went home. :)

It was actually a very enjoyable shoot aside from the crazy call time! We all got along really well and we had tons of fun together!

I'm shooting another TM Net print ad in about 2 weeks and I hope that group of people are as fun as these were! :)

Come With Me Let Me Take You Higher

Hello all! I'm sorry I haven't been updating much. I really have been so busy the past couple of days! Juggling my time between classes, coaching, family dinners and my performance for the Unilever annual dinner wasn't as easy as I thought it would be! (Updates and hopefully pictures from the Unilever performance soon!)

Today, I had a total relaxation day at home! Sleep, sleep, sleep! And a bit of reading. At the expense of my Business and Spanish assignments which I am trying to complete now. :p I am so last minute and such a procrastinator that I scare even myself sometimes! Heh. Luckily my class starts late tomorrow! :p

And yes, that is leading up to an excuse as to why I cannot post a proper post today! :p

I HAVE ASSIGNMENTS TO FINISH!

BUT, to make up for it, here's an interesting piece of news that I've been waiting a long time to share!

After much debating (between myself and myself), lots of surveying (do you think I look better with long hair or short hair? HUH?!? LONG HAIR?!? WHY??! HUH?!? SHORT HAIR?!? WHY?!?), lots of image Googling (short hair with bangs, long hair with bangs, layered long hair), lots of going through old pictures (OMG, I AM SO SKINNY THERE! Omg, please tell me I am better at applying my make up now!), I have FINALLY decided to.......

GROW MY HAIR LONG AGAIN! :D:D:D

Yes! After almost a year of short hair, I've decided that I'm done riding the Rihanna bob train and want to grow my hair long again!

But right now, my hair is at that awkward stage where it's neither long nor short and it's annoying me like CRAZY and I have to say that the temptation to just cut it short again is VERY strong.

But I miss my long hair so much that I'm willing to put up with it!

Oh, how I miss flipping my hair over my shoulder!

However, because my hair is kinda layered-ish, I may have to cut it all to one length-ish to avoid it looking weird while it grows out. Which means I may have to trim it anyway. Which means it'll be shorter. Which means I've been putting up with this annoying hair for nothing! Argh!

I'm gonna go see my hair stylist sometime this week and see what he says!

In the meantime, what say all of you about this decision? Long? Or short? Suggestions of hairstyles I should try? I'm open to anything! :) (I was even contemplating the Chinese doll haircut! You know, the short hair with bangs?)

Anyway, off I go to finish my assignments. *sigh*

I would SO rather be watching funny Japanese game show videos on Youtube!

It's The Wrong Kind Of Place To Be Thinking Of You

I was SO tired today because I had almost back to back classes from 11am - 2.50pm. (Okay fine, I had a break from 12.40pm - 2pm) But then I had coaching from 3pm - 5pm. Plus that with the fact that I didn't get much sleep last night coz I was up preeeeetty late! :p

I promised myself that I wouldn't take a nap when I got home because otherwise, I'd be up late again and this whole cycle would be repeated tomorrow. But guess what? I took a nap. :p

Sometimes, I think that my subconscious mind is on a mission to sabotage my conscious mind.

Was an awesome, awesome night!

We ordered a really good bottle of champagne and Sam was pretty giggly by the time we left! :p

It was a classic "bonding" night. Silly games, honest conversation and laughing till your stomach hurts. I had such a good time and I was so reluctant to go home! :p

We've all agreed that Bukit Bintang is TOTALLY our new hangout place! :D

The main reason I was there was coz I had some friends who were performing and I knew alot more of them were gonna be there too. Also, Quin said she wanted to catch a live gig before she went back to Aussie so I thought that this would be the perfect chance!

She Inhales Air She's Never Breathed Before

Hello all! Sorry for the sudden pause in updates. I've been pretty busy.

I started classes today and I've ALREADY got work! *sigh*

My weekend was spent being everywhere else but at home. Lol. If you're impatient for pictures, please head on over to either Ling (who has now lengthened her nickname for me from "princess" to "Skin Food princess", thanks Ling) or Quin's blogs. :)

After 2 months of doing almost nothing (well, nothing productive. :p), my normally crazy life is getting back in swing!

Besides IB classes, I'm also coaching red house cheer as most of you already know. And I'm quite stressed out right now because the school has implemented some silly rules which I do NOT agree with! It also means that I'm going to have to change alot of the original plans that I had! Argh! Annoying much?

I've also gotten a callback for Prom - The Musical so that's about to make life ALOT more hectic! I'm very excited though! :D

I'm also performing for the Unilever annual dinner at Sunway Hotel this Friday and I don't feel ready for the show at all and I'm very nervous! What I'm doing and the theme of the dinner is pretty complicated so I'm not going to bother going into detail right now. It'll be so much better with pictures/videos! :) Got a rehearsal on Wednesday so will let you guys know how it went! :)

AND I'm also shooting a print ad for TMNet sometime in mid February!

Busy, busy, busy! So you gotta cut me some slack for not updating/posting pictures so often! :p Coz on top of all this, I'm trying to fit in quality time with all my loved ones! :)

Anyway! Since I haven't done this in awhile (and I'm too lazy/busy to upload pictures), here are some Postsecret's! :)



I don't know about you, but I think "morning faces" are absolutely adorable! It's the one time in the day when your guard is down and you just look like you. :)

And I would never get out of bed early just to go and put makeup on only to get back into bed later!
