Aaaanyyyways! For those of you who don't know, I went to Japan coz Bryan was racing. We don't go overseas for anything but racing anymore coz we don't have time for a holiday what with school, racing, cheer and acting. Lol. But you know, I think my parents are really lucky in the sense that they have two children who are doing something productive with their lives instead of sitting at home and watching DVD box sets or playing X-box or going out everyday to "lepak". Instead, they have to active children who fill their free time by doing productive things! Like racing! And cheerleading! And acting! In fact, Bryan and I are so busy that very often, everyone complains that they don't see enough of us! Okay lah. I don't know how I came from Japan to this so okay! Back to Japan!
We had some issues about our visas and everyone was worried that they (Bryan, Aaron, Sangali and Tash were going a week before the rest of us) wouldn't get the visas in time but they managed to sort all the problems out and everyone got their visas in time.
This is my visa. I took this picture coz I thought the picture (On the visa) looked a bit orbituary-ish. And I bet all the superstitious people are al ohmygod-ing me now and actually I'm quite superstitious too so I'm kinda scared now but it will not deter me from continuing my duty as a blogger! :p And if you're wondering why my hair has like a streak of white, (So Shadowcat! Raaaah! :)) it's because this picture was taken awhile ago and my hair was dyed back then. It wasn't dyed white lah of course, it was kinda blond-ish brown but in this picture it looks white. Coz the picture is in black&white.
Before I went to Japan, people were telling me how the rooms are super tiny and if you lift your hands up you can touch both walls and stuff like that but actually, the hotel we stayed in was very nice and the room was not THAT small. It wasn't as big as a normal hotel but it wasn't small either. I thought it was very nice. And because it's one person to a room, it was much easier to "hang out" with a/the guy(s). HAHAHAHA! No no, I joke. :) I wanted to take pictures of the room. But I didn't. Oh! The only thing was that the toilet was a wee bit tiny. It was fine for me but I imagine that bigger people (Such as my dad) would find it too small. Oh and the toilet seats in Japan are heated. So when you wake up in the middle of the night to pee, you don't have to sit on a freezing toilet seat.
We had dinner with the team every night when we were in Japan so we never had dinner on our own. We had Japanese the first night, Italian the second night, Korean barbecue the third night and Chinese on our last night there. The food in Japan is so yummy and I don't know how I'm going to eat Japanese food here ever again. And even their Italian food is better than Italian food here! And dinners there were SUPER organized. They have like a seating plan for everyone and like special meal requests and all that.
These are pictures from the night we ate in the Italian restaurant which coincidentally was the night of my birthday. So I spent my 18th birthday with the whole of the Birel team and they had cake for me and sung a song for me (In English and Italian!) and there was another driver, Libor (Who is very very very cute!), whose birthday was on the 25th of May (Mine was on the 23rd) so he celebrated his birthday too! So we celebrated it together! There are no pictures of his or my cake or anything, I don't know why but whatever okay. Use your imagination.
Mr Sasaki (The owner of Birel Pacific) giving a speech. If you look to the left of your picture, the guy sitting facing the camera is Libor. The other guy is another driver, Cesetti.
Mummy and daddy.
The Birel drivers. The guy fourth from the front of the picture on the right is Takamoto Katsuta and he's is so so super cute! I actually met him in Dubai last year for World Finals and he was just as cute there too! Lol.
The important people's table.
Important people.
Okay, IF I'm not mistaken, these are the mechanics. But I could be wrong! I'm really not sure.
Mummy and I.
Daddy and Uncle Stuart (Tash's dad).
One of the Toyota sponsored drivers. Takamoto's team mate. Uhhhh. I can't remember his name. I think it starts with an O.
Takamoto giving a speech.
He gets two pictures coz he's cute. Lol. And his speech was so so adorable!
Another important person giving a speech. I'm pretty sure he's from Toyota but I'm not sure what position he holds or whatever. But I'm guessing that he's pretty high up on the corporate ladder coz he handed out TONS of Toyota merchandise to all the drivers.
Libor.
This is Tin. He's from Thailand. He's cute too. Lol.
Tash.
Bryan.
I didn't get pictures of the others coz there were so many of them and they all move so damn fast.
Uncle Richard sang some songs for us! Omg, he is SO SO good! I've heard PLENTY about his singing from my parens and from Aaron but I'd never actually heard him sing before. I was not disappointed. He is so good!
The next few pictures are not very good coz there were SO MANY of them and they all kept moving and shouting at each other and shoving and pushing and they were being boys lah okay! So don't judge my photography skills!
All the Birel drivers.
SO CUTE RIGHT?!? OMG, I HAD SO MUCH FUN LOOKING AT ALL THE EYE CANDY! Lol! And the best part is that since it was only me and Tash at the track, we got ALL the attention! Ahahahahaha! I can't wait to go back and race in Japan! :p
And I know that some of these pictures have MAJOR red eye effect but this is what happened when I turned off the flash.
And it didn't help that they all KEPT MOVING! Argh! I was like "STAY STILL!" Lol. And in case you didn't notice, I actually didn't get even ONE nice picture of ALL of them. All of the pictures like there's someone not looking at the camera lah, someone not smiling nicely lah. *sigh* Boys.
OKAY DON'T JUDGE ME! I was in my room and there was a mirror so I did what any self-respecting girl would do. I camwhored. :p But not that much okay! And see! I'm only posting ONE camwhore picture up!
The next few pictures are of us at the track after the race.
Mummy and Aunty Ida (Tash's mum).
The three of us. Do you like my ears?!? So cute kan? :D
Packing the karts. Uncle Richard and Sangali.
Daddy and his girls.
Packing tyres. Tash, Bryan and Uncle Richard.
Mummy aka the coat hanger. Lol! Love you mum! :p
My ears and I. :D
Bryan and Tash. I had to crop this picture coz there was some strange person on the left of the picture.
Everyone working and packing up after the race.
Sangali and Aaron working too!
Aaron and Bryan.
The two cutest little boys EVER!
HOW ADORABLE IS HE?!?
Omg, I wanted to kidnap him and take him home! He was so so cute! I wanted to like squeeze him! And the two of them (They're brothers) are so good! They like sit down and are quiet and help out and everything! SO FRIGGIN CUTE! If marrying a Japanese guy means my kids will look like this, BRING IT ON! Lol.
Tash and I.
Bryan.
Bryan and I.
Haha! This is such a cute picture, no? And look at my daddy! So cute! And look at how he's holding my bag, my jacket and my mum's bag. Such a daddy! Mwah! Love you daddy!
Family picture.
My Japanese brother.
Bryan, Mr Hojo (Okay, I really don't think that's how you spell his name but I don't know how to otherwise and that's how it's pronounced!) and Aaron.
I didn't take any pictures of Bryan racing (Ooops!) so he insisted I take a picture of him and his "go-kart".
Bryan and Aaron again.
The rest of the pictures are of our last dinner in Japan! Sniff. I was so sad you know. Really.
I'm lazy to caption them lah! Lol.
I didn't take pictures of any of the races coz the races were SO exciting and I was too busy watching to take pictures.
And on the first day of racing, it rained ALL day! It was so miserably cold! I was FREEZING and I was wearing jeans and heels so it was difficult to walk around and my jeans were all wet. The weather was much nicer on the second day though. Perfect weather!
Oh and in case you didn't notice, look at how all the drivers, mechanics, team managers, etc etc are ALWAYS in Birel attire. And their bags and everything is Birel! Super team spirit man! They were like a cheer squad! No joke! It's like during dinner and when we're not at the track, everyone is super happy and joking with each other and all but once we're at the track, everything is really serious and everyone is really focused. I loved the atmosphere!
All in all, I had the most wonderful time in Japan. I miss the food, the weather, the people, the cleanliness and I miss the boys. :p I've fallen head-over-heels in love with Japan and I can't wait to go back!
Major influx of updates coming soon coz I have so much to say coz there's so much going on right now!
And if there are any typos, spelling errors and/or grammatical errors, I'm sorry! This post took FOREVER to write and my bum hurts from sitting so long and my shoulders are starting to ache! Lol.
